Preparation Material
Before coming to class, please study the material from the following sections from the textbook: Machine Learning with R (available through the library subscription).
Chapter 9 - Finding Groups of Data - Clustering with k-means up to (but not including) Finding teen market segments using k-means clustering.
Then, from the Marsland text, read:
Chapter 14, the introduction, Section 14.1, and Section 14.1.1. You may stop when you get to 14.1.2 on k-means Neural Networks.
